Somewhere in Lisle next week, a pint-sized angler may be talking about the big one that got away. If he swings open his arms to show just how huge the fish was, he may have seen Big Mo.

It's time again for the 13th annual Lisle-Woodridge Fire Fighters Union Local 2986 Fishing Derby. Designed for boys and girls 14 and younger accompanied by an adult, the derby will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 2 at the Lisle Community Park Ponds on Short Street just west of Route 53.

It's a way to introduce children to one of America's favorite pastimes - fishing.
