I appreciate this opportunity to give you my beliefs in regard to the steps that need to be taken to bring better health, better medical treatments, and lower costs to our health care system.
Some of you served with me on the advisory committee to the Office of Alternative Medicine. The report language establishing that office declared that it was to "investigate and validate" alternative treatments for disease.
