I can think of a number of inspired American educators who paved the path towards embedding ethical behavior in sports. For example, Sharon Stoll's pioneering endeavors in Idaho dramatically show what can be achieved with vision and empirical exactness. In addition, Malloy, Ross, and Zakus's Sport Ethics: Concepts and Cases in Sport and Recreation (Thompson Publishing, 2000) offers a wonderful contemporary analytical framework that enables teachers to explore, understand, and teach ethical issues in sport and physical education.
In this case, however, I am convinced that "ethics" is primarily a matter of positive role modeling. Quite simply, "good" teachers ...
