Jun. 2--The sheer size of the Hispanic community seems to have finally made electronic retailers and other merchants sit up and take notice of a vastly under-serviced market.
Figures from the 2000 census show a 50 percent increase in New Jersey's Hispanic population, prompting businesses to invest heavily in Spanish-language advertising, according to a Hudson County ad executive.
