As it is now, Park Street on Madison's South Side is an undistinguished, unlovely corridor where cars leave the Beltline to hurtle toward Downtown or UW-Madison.
For pedestrians, crossing it can be an act of courage. Motorists find little to gladden the eye or invite them to stop and shop.
But Monday, urban planners will present their vision for a greener, slower, more vibrant Park Street at a second public forum. The first was held last fall. Updates will be ongoing as the project unfolds.
