Most people you see in a gay bar are happy when their presence attracts more than a passing glance. But John Paulk isn't most people. A former male escort, drag queen, and self-described "gay icon," Paulk is now the most-recognized "ex-gay" man in the country. He's written two books, Not Afraid to Change and Love Won Out, and his "ex-lesbian" wife, Anne, has been featured in a national ad campaign promising that the "truth can set you free" from homosexuality. Together, the two were featured on a cover of Newsweek magazine.
