ARTWORK IS PERHAPS THE ONLY true, lasting artifact of the early childhood years. We can look at the physical set up of a kindergarten classroom, review the curriculum guides and other materials the teacher has to work with, see that there are enough blocks, puzzles and other manipulative materials, read about the music or movement program and perhaps even review test scores that will predict the academic abilities of the children.
