MONROE -- The simple fact that Roth Kase is celebrating its 10th anniversary holds promise for the specialty cheese industry in Wisconsin.
Founded by three Swiss businessmen with more than a century of family cheese making ties in Switzerland, this Monroe company endured seven discouraging years before turning the tide and becoming profitable, said Steve McKeon, president.
"We didn't have a fifth-year anniversary celebration because we weren't sure where we were going," McKeon said in an interview.
