It's a Wednesday afternoon in late May and Edina's Justin Gaard, the defending Class AA singles champion, is nervous.
His uneasiness is understandable, because the individual finals in Section 6AA - Edina's home section and unquestionably the toughest in the state - are set to begin.
But that's not what has Gaard's stomach churning. As one of the state's best tennis players and a two-year starter for Edina's basketball team, he's used to pressure on the court.
