The Red Sox were looking for a good ol' fashioned pick-me-up from Hideo Nomo last night.
The very early results were basically a pick-'em proposition, with the Red Sox clinging to a 3-2 against the Detroit Tigers through six innings.
Solo home runs from Troy O'Leary, Manny Ramirez and Brian Daubach gave the Red Sox their runs, while the Tigers' Juan Encarnacion clubbed a one-run shot off Nomo.
The Red Sox are on a home run assault, hitting 13 in their last half-dozen games.
