Jun. 1--WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- In eight days, flower power is coming to Interstate 81 Exit 46, near First Union Arena.
Volunteers will be planting 4,500 plants and flowers, including black-eyed Susans and butterfly weeds, along the entrance and exit to the interstate.
The gardening project is a joint effort between the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry and the state Department of Transportation.
