When Fashion Week rolls around twice a year in New York, writers, buyers and stylists know the Betsey Johnson show will be a break in the monotony.

Celebrated for her colorful, whimsical and vibrant styles, Denver got a taste of the designer's enthusiasm Saturday during the first local Betsey Johnson fashion show.

A packed house cheered as models strutted in gingham dresses, one-sleeve tops, camouflage knits and bat-wing tops.
