EADS, BAE Systems and finmeccanica have officially created MBDA, which brings together the former Matra BAe Dynamics (MBD), Aerospatiale Matra Missiles and Alenia Marconi Systems (AMS). With estimated annual sales of 2.3 billion [European Dollar] and an order book of 13 billion [European Dollar], the new entity -- to be headed by MBD CEO Fabrice Bregier -- will be ranked N [degrees] 2 worldwide behind Raytheon.
Ownership will be divided between EADS and BAE Systems (37.5% each), with the remaining 25% going to Finmeccanica, which is estimated to have paid about 500 million [European Dollar] to the original MBD shareholders, as well as injecting its share of AMS ...
