The wrecks of the greatest naval war ever fought still have a message to convey today, 56 years after the guns of World War II fell silent, undersea explorer Robert Ballard said.
In "Graveyards of the Pacific: From Pearl Harbor to Bikini Atoll," Ballard compiles the results of his decade-long series of National Geographic expeditions in search of the Japanese and American ships that sank, with veterans from both sides along to share their memories.
