Our family has been introduced to a gold mine, Central Wisconsin Center, guided by Dr. Deborah McLeish, in pediatric rehabilitation at University Hospital.
Our grandson, Justin, was diagnosed with bilateral schizencephaly, microcephalic and physically disabled when he was about 6 months old. He is now 5 years plus.
It seems that once or twice a year mother and maternal grandparents are in crisis with the load of care and trying to cover all of Justin's needs, which become overwhelming at times. For instance, our daughter has been on a waiting list for a case worker since Justin was 6 months old and is still waiting.
