If you took a trip to East Africa, you'd expect to see animals such as elephants, rhinos, and zebras. They often roam wild areas known as "the bush." But you might not expect to see a nursery with people raising these creatures. There really is such a place, though. It's in Nairobi National Park, not far from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya (see map on page 6).
A VERY SPECIAL MOM
This wild animal nursery is one of a kind. It was started by a wildlife expert named Daphne Sheldrick. She's been taking care of orphaned elephants for the past 40 years.
