SIR PAUL McCartney has joined girlfriend Heather Mills in her battle to rid the world of landmines. Heather, 32, became involved in the issue while living in Croatia in the early 1990s.
Ironically, she later lost a leg after a road crash in Britain.
Sir Paul has supported Heather's work from the sidelines since they met two years ago. Now he has thrown his weight behind the launch of a new charity, Adopt-A-Minefield UK - in which supporters pay to have land cleared of mines.
