Jun. 12--Taking a few precautions that may at first seem like a hassle could spare you from having your identity stolen, wreaking havoc on your life as you take months and sometimes years to straighten things out.
Having someone steal your identity is scary, but it's not out of the question. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States.
