More than blood and sweat built cast iron stoves
Modern materials, such as coated steels and plastics, coupled with the need for smaller, lighter-weight appliances, spelled doom for the widespread use of cast iron in the manufacture of heating products.
One needs only to return to post World War II to witness the time when cast iron began its decline.
