Jun. 14--Boulder-based White Wave is suing its rich uncle and the company he's marrying.
Dean Foods of Illinois, whose subsidiary Dean Dip owns 36 percent of White Wave's privately held common stock, said in April that it would merge with Suiza Foods Corp. of Dallas in a transaction valued in cash and stock at $2.5 million.
The deal would bring White Wave into the same family as its largest competitor. White Wave makes the Silk brand of soy milk along with tofu and other soy products. The 24-year-old company commands 79 percent of U.S. sales of soy milk.
