Special Olympics and the 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games Preparatory Committee announced today that Nagano, Japan, will be the site of the 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games. This will be the first Special Olympics World Games hosted in Asia, expecting to draw 2,500 athletes, 650 coaches, and thousands of families, volunteers, spectators and journalists from every continent. Tentative dates for the 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games are 26 February through 5 March 2005.
