Jun. 14--A federal ruling on the blending of California gasoline will almost certainly have an economic impact on Wisconsin within a year or two, but industry spokesmen and observers differed Wednesday on whether, on balance, it would be positive or negative.
It could be a boon for Wisconsin farmers who grow corn. Ethanol is blended with gasoline and now will be used in California as a result of the federal ruling, producing a big boost in ethanol demand.
But it could also mean higher gas prices in Wisconsin and elsewhere because the California demand for ...
