Not long ago, bridal shops carried small-size sample gowns almost exclusively. A time that should be happy and exciting turned, for many, into a nightmare of trying to envision a size 18 self in the size 6 gown held up in the mirror. One more ding in the self-esteem.
But today's brides - of all sizes - are finding that shopping for a wedding dress is not a chore, but a fun rite of passage.
