Regarding "Goodbye, History," your editorial on the Historical Society's name and logo change, I think you got the title right and the editorial wrong.
It is hard for many to understand how urgent it is that the Historical Society develop broader audiences and resources in order to remain the great research and educational institution that it is. In the Joint Finance Committee's proposed state budget, we will lose more than $1 million for the coming biennium, and that will be a permanent reduction.
