Jun. 20--The skills gap, demographic changes in the work force, and global competition are being examined today at a national Summit on the 21st Century Workforce.
The U.S. Department of Labor event, beginning this morning in Washington, D.C., with a scheduled address by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, also features a Kansas City woman.
Lynnette Williams, an instructor at the Women's Employment Network in Kansas City, is one of two women nationally honored for their welfare-to-work success stories. Williams and a woman from Seattle shared their stories ...
