A healthy set of full-year results at top UK dairy firm Dairy Crest was boosted by strong performances from Clover margarine and Cathedral City cheese.
Pre-tax profit leaped up 29% to 57m [pounds sterling] in the year to March 31 on sales up 65% to 1.31bn [pounds sterling].
Chief executive John Houliston said the synergies from the acquisition of Unigate's milk and cheese business in July 2000 are "being delivered in full".
