With the pyramids, the Sphinx, and the sprawl of urban Cairo as the backdrop, British singer Sting played to a crowd of more than 10,000 as part of a Middle Eastern/North African tour, which helped raise thousands of dollars for charities in the Middle East region.
Algerian Rai singer Cheb Mami joined Sting on stage to perform their world-wide hit `Desert Rose', a symbolic meeting of east and west, sure to stir even the hardest of hearts.
