On the Road to the Contented Life
My eleven year old has little tact. He hardly paused over his bowl of Marshmallow Mateys[TM] when he asked, "Mom, did you quit your job again?" He does though have excellent perception. Just because I hadn't donned my usual suit and heels. Just because it was almost 7 AM and I wasn't harping "Hurry up, Hurry up!" Does that necessarily mean that I had quit my most recent position? Yep. It did. He was right, again.
What was it this time? Nasty co-workers, boss from hell, low pay? Nope. Those were all pretty great, thank you. So why did I sheepishly make that speech again -- the one giving two weeks notice and then praying for a time ...
