Someone recently asked me about the composition of our NMA Board of Directors. All associations have a governing body and they all comprise individuals with a variety of backgrounds, education, and experience. With NMA being such a broad-based professional society, we thought it might be fun to do a survey and "check the demographics." The results are in ... and I thought I would share that information with you. After all, they are your elected representatives.
For 2001, our national Board is 63% male and 37% female. In addition, 31% are engineers or "manage" engineers, 17% are project managers, and 11% deal with finance and/or purchasing. Other Board members work in ...
