Jun. 20--The New Mexico Department of Agriculture and New Mexico Onion Commission are co-sponsoring the New Mexico Onion Promotion at retail outlets in New Mexico.
The stores also are giving the promotion more visibility by displaying the NMDA "New Mexico -- Grown with Tradition" logo, department marketing specialist Chadelle Robinson said.
New Mexico grown onions are being featured at Furr's Supermarkets, IGA Van Winkle's, Raley's Supermarkets and Wal-Mart Supercenters. Raley's produce buyer, Kathy Terrazas, said: "Raley's appreciates the opportunity to support ...
