The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company (HSB) recently released a report found that power surges and other electrical lines disturbances are the primary cause of many air conditioning (A/C) breakdowns. The company reached this conclusion after conducting a thorough study of many insurance claims.
"Warmer weather increases the risk of air conditioning failures -- especially from power surges and other line problems," said HSB loss control specialist James Brogan.
