Fresh off a failed bid to land Boeing Co., Rolling Meadows can find some consolation when tech giant 3Com announces today its plan to consolidate all of its Midwestern operations into its Rolling Meadows campus.
The consolidation, which includes 3Com's operation in Mount Prospect, reaffirms the company's commitment to Rolling Meadows barely months after hundreds working in the city's plant lost their jobs as part of a global layoff, city officials said.
