HAMPTON, N.H. _ School officials here had good intentions nearly three years ago when they decided to bring a Junior ROTC program to Winnacunnet High School.
The program would teach leadership skills, build self-esteem and maybe open up career paths for students.
Little did they know they would be walking smack into one of the most polarizing issues of our time: guns in America.
Now a storm of controversy swirls through Winnacunnet High over whether the Junior ROTC cadets should have an air rifle range on campus.
