A Skokie company sees a market among the millions of bleary-eyed workers staring at computer screens in offices across the country.
Barbara Creations Inc., a distributor of reading glasses and sunglasses sold in drugstores and mass market chains, recently rolled out its line of Web iWear glasses, which are designed to combat the eyestrain, dry eyes, headaches and other symptoms that many people develop sitting at computers for hours on end.
The condition, referred to as computer vision syndrome, afflicts as many as 10 million Americans a year, according to the American Optometric Assn. (AOA).
