Q: Last year when I visited a nursery I noticed many houseplants used in outdoor planters. I particularly liked hanging baskets with spider plants dangling down with the ivy geraniums and verbena. I am trying to duplicate that look on my own and put some of my many houseplants to work outdoors, but my spider plants don't seem to want to make babies. Is this what happens when they are moved outdoors?

MB: Spider plants (Chlorophytum) aren't into the teen mother phenomonum and will only have babies or spiders when they are fully mature. They also need enough light to get them in the mood for ...
