SATELLITES GET BOOST
Deutche Bank Alex. Brown last month initiated coverage of three broadband industry stocks. The "buy" and "strong buy" and recommendations helped send shares of EchoStar Communications, GM Hughes and Pegasus Communications up immediately after the release.
Charter Communications also got a boost from analysts. Lehman Bros. upgraded the MSO to "strong buy" from "buy" and CIBC initiated coverage with a "buy" recommendation.
S. G. Cowan dropped WorldGate Communications to "neutral" from "buy" and the next day the stock dropped 12%.
