According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you can exclude your name from lists used by the credit reporting bureaus--Experian, Equifax, Enovis, and Trans Union--and insurance providers by dialing 888-5-OPTOUT (888-567-8688). Once you call this toll-free number, you'll be required to provide your full name, ZIP code, and current street address. Once you provide these details, your "opt out" should be in effect in five business days and will be in effect for a minimum of two years.
