ICE CREAM is an all-time favorite hot-weather treat. And while it comes in many forms, the ice-cream cake is by far the most festive - the star of birthday parties, graduations and other summertime celebrations. But that doesn't mean you should wait for a special occasion to indulge. An ice-cream cake can be a perfect as a snack on a sunny afternoon or as the culmination of an evening meal.
Even the most elaborate ice-cream cakes are easy to make, as long as you don't rush. The process involves more building than baking, and each layer of the construction needs to be well frozen before you add the next.
