Aptagen, Inc. of Herndon, VA (http://www.Aptagen.com ) announced today that it will officially initiate Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards to further ensure quality and safety in the company's laboratories. GLPs are sets of guidelines intended to ensure "good science" and are codified in the Code of Federal Regulations that are overseen by both the FDA and EPA. The initiation of the standards comes in light of Aptagen's recent acquisition of ProteinGenesis, Inc. and the launch of the company's Protein Genesis(TM) protein manipulation and design platform.
