A report in Newsweek magazine has apparently claimed that Egyptian investigators looking into the 1999 crash of EgyptAir flight 990 privately agree that the crash was caused by the co-pilot committing suicide.
The report on Saturday (23 June) claimed: 'Intelligence sources say the intercepts reveal that despite their public stance, the Egyptian investigators privately agreed with their US counterparts that suicide was the likely cause of the crash,' Reuters reported.
