NEW YORK -- Peter Rizzo, whose career at Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York has been largely dedicated to bringing the best of Italian design to the U.S., received the National Italian American Foundation's award for "special achievement in retailing" Tuesday night at a black-tie gala at the New York Hilton. It was a celebration of Italian pride and culture, honoring Rizzo and five other prominent individuals, most of Italian descent.
