MICHAEL JORDAN TO PUTT FOR THE UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND
Gifted basketball star Michael Jordan will take his athletic prowess off the court and onto the green on the weekend of Friday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 10, at La Costa Hotel and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., when he hosts his celebrity golf classic to benefit the United Negro College Fund. The announcement was made at a press conference on Wednesday, July 19, held at Johnson Publishing Co. Inc. in Chicago, where UNCF Board Member John H. Johnson is chairman and publisher.
