Jun. 26--The high price of gasoline, a weak national economy and lingering memories of last year's disastrous forest fires are hanging over this year's tourist season like a monsoon cloud, but Santa Fe hotel managers and others are hopeful this season will be a good one despite those problems.
So far, it's been a mixed picture. June has been soft to fair at many properties. But Santa Fe's largest hotel, Eldorado, had what general manager Randy Randall the "worst June ever."
