DANIEL JOHNSTON, PRESIDENT OF MARB, TESTIFIES AT RATE HEARING

BOSTON, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel Johnston, president of the Massachusetts Automobile Rating and Accident Prevention Bureau (MARB), submitted his statement today (see attached) at Commissioner of Insurance Timothy Gailey's hearing on the 1990 automobile insurance rates.

In his opening remarks, Johnston commented that these hearings have gained the reputation of being "the most lengthy, complex and politically sensitive sessions of their type in the country, if not the world."
