Jun. 27--Garan Inc., which is closing its Clinton garment plant, has agreed to donate the facility and land to the Hickman County Industrial Development Authority, which civic leaders hope will lure at least a partial replacement for the 133-job manufacturer.
Hickman County Judge-Executive Greg Pruitt said one company would bring 80 to 120 jobs if it decides to move into the vacated building. Another firm also has expressed interest, he said, declining to reveal other details.
