Jun. 28--Avista Labs has put its fuel cells on the market after years of development and testing.
President Kim Zentz said the first buyers have been utilities and other companies in the power business that want to run their own tests of the units before buying more.
Tests at sites around the United States have revealed no defects in the technology, although there has been some tweaking, she said.
Fuel cells create electricity from hydrogen using a catalytic process that produces only water vapor and heat. Long considered useful only for exotic ...
