Jun. 28--About 20 Central Florida millionaires have promised money for a home-grown venture capital fund that would specialize in high-tech start-ups, local business leaders were told Wednesday.
The new fund, organized by the Central Florida Venture Group, is about halfway toward its goal of raising at least $2.5 million, said Richard Fox, president of Central Florida Innovation Corp., an Orlando organization assisting the effort.
