Colorado Attorney General Ken Salazar asked the state Supreme Court on Thursday to reconsider its rulings that some 1990s sex offenders must spend little or no time under parole supervision.
He also asked state prisons chief John Suthers, in a letter faxed Thursday, not to release any sex offenders from parole or prison until the legal dispute is resolved.
That might take weeks, Salazar said. It also could be as early as next week.
``We are filing the petitions for rehearing and clarification because we believe fundamental errors in the court's reasoning require this action,'' Salazar said in a news release Thursday.
