EASTERN LOAD FACTOR 75.44 PERCENT IN AUGUST
MIAMI, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastern Airlines posted a record load factor of 75.44 percent in August and flew 956.9 million revenue passenger miles, the company announced today.
The airline boarded 1,218,000 passengers during the month. Capacity was 1.268 billion available seat miles.
The previous highest single month load factor was 74.57 percent, set last month. In January 1979, Eastern had a 74.42 percent load factor.
From April through August, Eastern flew 2.265 billion revenue passenger miles at a load factor of 67.70 percent. Available seat miles during the five months were ...
