In 2000, the State oil company ANCAP had profits of US$29.3mil, ANP (Administracion de Puertos) registered profits of US$1.9mil in the same period, and AFE (Ferrocarriles del Estado) had losses of US$2.6mil in the fourth quarter of last year according to a report of Banco Central. Non of the three companies forwarded profits to the central Government in 2000. The net operating income of ANCAP was US$791.4mil and closed the year with a capital of US$419.4mil, according to the balance which concluded at the end of 2000.
